From Probably WordPress 2.7.1 there is auto update feature, so you don’t have to do it manually like long ago, and don’t have to use “WordPress Automatic Upgrade” plugin. Its nice and very cool feature to keep up-to-date and stay protected. But a lot people face problem to make it work. It fails to work as expected if there is file permission issue or something like file system issue. Now as WordPress 3.1 Released with a lot update, everybody should update to latest. This is a very common Error if you have a big site in WordPress. Mostly site with huge post count suffers in this error. It could occur while posting new or editing any existing post. I also had this error while creating large sitemap, doing some batch function. You will see any empty screen with the message below –

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 80 bytes) in /home/*****/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 958

Or

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 80 bytes) in /home/*****/public_html/wp-includes/wp-setting.php on line 958

It occurs as WordPress tries to access more memory then its allowed to by “Server PHP configuration” or “WordPress Setting”. Increasing Memory will solve it. Here is solution for all user, who have shared hosting or dedicated or VPS, just FTP access to server will be enough.

Official Google Buzz Share Button Released Repoted at Thetechjournal.com. Its a good news. It comes with Share Counter. But it gives general, there was no official WordPress. So i customized the code for WordPress, i might make one Plugin for Google Buzz. Now Counter is more reliable and use Official API.

If you add default StumbleUpon Button code on WordPress Post page(Single.php) it will work. but this wont work if you would like to use this on Home Page(index.php) it wont work. Like i did tried to add this on TheTechJournal.com‘s home page. It was not woking, showing only home page view count. Then i altered the code with parmalink.

Suddenly i got this news that pagerank updating. After Google Pushed Caffeine upgrade, Google Started Crawling Web faster, so now pagerabnk will come early and in schedule. After January 2010 Google PR update, next update started on 31st March 2010 – 12 AM PST. But we found changes on 3rd April, 2010. In this update I am kind of felling Successfull. Not all domain Rank i am satisfied but its overall awesome. Now my company ARCom’s each and everysite that we ever worked got rank atleast PR1. As far I looked we got 3 PR4, 3 PR3(including This blog), lots of PR2 and PR1.

I don’t think the Official Facebook button is well enough. There is official Plugin also, but for advance developer they need control, we need flexibility to control the size and colour. Yes, we have also started using Buzz. For 95% of user Google made us to use it. But as we in ARCom very close with social, we started using it firstly for ThetechJournal.com. Today we were working on Google Buzz intregation on our site. We could manually add it to WordPress, it will be normal share button code, but if you want counter to be working it needs to be javascript. As Google still did not release any API yet, so developer used one trick, they used Google reader and Bit.ly api so track.

Though i personally process about 4 dedicated server of my own and few more server for my company, but still i some time have to use shared hosting for various project and customer.
