Jeep Wrangler No Heat Problem We had the low heat problem on the driver side with our 2013 jk. since we had the maxcare lifetime warranty i didn't mind when they said the heater core needed to be replaced. they told me later that the total cost would have been around $2,500 usd if i didn't have the warranty. I have a 2013 jeep wrangler jk, and there is an uneven amount of heat between the driver and passenger side vents. i’ve read a bunch of these posts, but i have yet to find a solution. i replaced the blend door actuator (it had the problem where the gear went all the way to the top and then dropped back down), that didn’t fix the problem. You need #3, the blend door actuator gear on the driver's side. the drivers side blend door controls how much air goes through the heater core to pick up heat for the driver. there is another independent blend door on the passenger side, another #3 as they are the same part number. there are three number 3s on that diagram.
