Agricultural Price Indices January 2019 Cso Central Sta A further comparison of the january 2019 output sub indices with the january 2018 sub indices shows that the largest decreases were in milk and cattle which were down 11.5% and 8.5% respectively. on the input side, the biggest increases were in feeding stuffs and fertilisers which were up 11.3% and 9.4% respectively on january 2018 prices. Preliminary estimates of the agricultural price indices for 2019 show a 2.6% increase in input prices from 2018 levels while output prices are estimated to decrease by 1%. see tables 1, 2 and graph . the projected increase in the input price index of 2.6% is due mainly to an increase in fertilisers (5.6%) and feeding stuffs (3.8%).
