Dnd In Defence Of Murder Hobos Hobo Style Defence Fictional Not all murder hobo campaigns are bad directionless does not necessarily mean boring. anyway, thank you for coming to my ted talk. would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. edit: in case i wasn't clear, i'm not talking about murder hobos with wierd cruel murder festishes, or campaigns where the dm is left in tears. This time, however, the relative confronts the party somewhere public. if they kill that relative, they now get in trouble with the law for murder, multiple murders if the pcs let on they killed others. even if they don't kill the relative, the local law enforcement wants to know why the pcs are bheing accused of murder.

Art Kelfur Murder Hobo R Dnd Honestly if the murder hobos thing is an issue pass session zero where all expectations are established, you need to reconsider said player. some people literally just want to fuck up the story and act like feral beasts, when most of the time the dm just wants a group of nobel heros willing to help the innocent. He hires mercenaries, he hires assassins, and then sends out a 20,000 strong army to run the murderers to ground. all the people of the land flee into the forests and mountains as soon as they see the murder hobos approaching and camp out for a couple weeks, denying the murder hobos goods and services while the army hunts them down. A lot of people are very down on the 'murder hobo' style of play in d&d, and in rpgs in general besides #dnd. it's just another style of play, like any other. Murderhobos happen when dnd is treated as a silly video game. in there defense it is just a game, but lots of people also enjoy immersion. as long as it doesn't grind the plot to a halt your dm will thank you. edit: a good murder hobos looks like an adventurer, one who can justify his crimes and get paid for it.
