Faith Or Doubt It forces you to rely on god because you don’t have it all figured out. if you let it, ultimately, doubt can make you stronger because your faith has been confirmed. the reality that we all need to understand is that we cannot be 100% sure of almost anything. whether you’re a christian or not, this is just true. Instead of only questioning faith, i started to doubt my doubts. in the process, the foundations of my own unbelief began to feel more brittle. if you find yourself in a similar place, intrigued by jesus but kept back by questions, i would encourage you to doubt your doubts and explore faith in christ with an open mind.

Here are seven principles to consider when dealing with doubt. 1. have mercy on those who doubt. jude 22 tells us to “have mercy on those who doubt.”. it is easy to judge, condemn, and look down on doubters as if they are second rate christians. but to have mercy on those who doubt is to be there for them, comforting and building them up. But if we confess our doubts, god is faithful and just to forgive us our doubts and purify us from all unbelief.”. 3. faith isn’t feelings. feelings go up and down with blood sugar. if i let my feelings take the wheel of my life, they’ll crash my job, my marriage, and my faith many times over.
