Model: chevy 235 ohv 12v inline 6. gm rebuild agenda: machine services bore and hone the engine block, grind the crank and cam, valve job on the cylinder head. engine parts new pistons, rings, gaskets, bearings, freeze plugs, oil pump, and timing kit. clean, paint, and assemble. we tore it apart, hot tanked all the parts to remove the excess. Gary, first, let me encourage you to make up a little pre oiler for your 235. you need a junk distributor with all the guts removed. just the housing and the shaft. bring your motor up to top dead center on the compression stroke. remove the cap and confirm the rotor is pointing to number 1 wire tower in the cap.
