Heater hose routing. i am updating the engine transmission in my "55 210 and have encountered a situation where the original heater hose routing is complicated by new bracketry. it is a 396 blueprint sbc with edelbrock performer rpm air gap intake. the intake has four 1 2npt ports at the corners.

Re: correct heater hose routing. you are getting basically no water flow through the heater core. the nipple on the water pump can be used in place of a nipple at the top of the radiator tank but not in conjuction with it. that nipple is on the suction side of the water pump. so what you are doing is sucking water from the bottom of the. The heater will be warmer untill the t stat opens. at that point the engine runs cooler therfore the heater will blow a little cooler. another way to think of it is that the heater core is doing the radiators job untill the t stat opens. 1956 210 del rey sedan 383 700r4 12 bolt posi. 1968 camaro 468 bbc power glide 12 bolt.
