How To Win This Coalition War R Eu4 The key for me is that coalition wars are based on superiority, so winning battles is most important. most of the time, coalitions are made up of many small countries so their stacks will be separated. hence try to achieve stackwipes against individual small stacks and you might be able to reach 50 warscore which brings their enthusiasm to low. 6. The war goal of coalition wars is show superiority. so you get 10 ws from winning battles and another 25 as ticking ws. rest is occupying forts etc. having the sams question but i really do not have any answer, maybe employing some mercs will tip the balance on your side.

How To Win This Coalition War R Eu4 Here are 3 basic tips: if they start the war it is a show superiority war based on winning battles. win battles to get a ticking warscore. target the war leader to get their war exhaustion up. take their capital and their forts. only fight battles you think you will win. if you think the war leader will be hard to reach attack the coalition. 2. none of the coalition members have refused to let the leader negotiate (in theory they're not allowed to, but in practice i have often seen coalition members refuse negotiating rights to a weak war leader). this means britain and france are trusting their fate to the whims of *algiers*. with that in mind, the plan is simple: occupy algiers. If the coalition started the war remember it's up to them to take your territory. if you declared on the coalition that's your fault. you can do it as soon as the first couple join the coalition to split all the nations that want to join, otherwise i'd advise against it unless you know you can dominate them. #3. Coalition only declare if they have a chance of beating you. get a stronk ally even if it is only for a short while. or get a mil tech if it boosts your army strength significantly. or merc up. you can't join a coalition that is already at war with the coalition target. declare on a coalition as it forms when it is smaller.

Let the subjects you feed in the coalition area keep all (or most) forts though. the ai nations will siege those, which means less war exhaustion for you in (coalition) wars. forts are useless, especially if your capital is far away. only forts near straits hold any merit, or near chokepoints. Originally posted by ultrix prime: if 4 or more countries without a truce with you have 50 or more ae and relations below 0, they can form a coalition against you. therefore, if you improve relations such that they have 0 or above opinion subsequent to the peace deal they will not be able to form a coalition.
