They don't have the hard kores. basically, the hard kores work like a second baffle. you drill out the threaded hole in the existing baffle, and the hard kores slip into the end of the baffle similar to an exhaust end cap. the retaining screw goes through the existing baffle into a threaded hole on the hard kore, holding both in place.
