Its better to get the kill faster and take the downside of being easy to spot because disguises are not very convincing anyways. 2 other disguises also don't lower speed (spy and medic) however out of the 3 of them, scout is acutally the least obvious, think about it spies are expected to be invisible for most of the game and medics are. Or, well, at least one of them. scout being jumpy at the shotgun would be a good point buuuut blu soldier killed blu spy. yeah, in most servers we spy check by shooting our teammates. but since blu spy obviously wasn't red and was killed by another another blu teammate, we can rule out that the ingame mechanics translate over to the lore. Although he is throwing piss, and it's a bizzare thing to do. spy, being the most gentleman merc and least sane because everything he said makes sense every time in every situation. most insane to least insane 1. soldier 2. medic 3. pyro 4. demoman 5. sniper 6. scout 7.
