This is a trader joe’s staff pick favorite and i completely agree. tj’s new zealand grass fed cheddar is an excellent cheese, a sharp cheddar aged from 6 12 months. this cheese is one of my favorite cheeses that tj’s carries, and i buy this almost every time i go to trader joe’s as it goes rather quickly in our house.

Trader joe's new zealand grass fed sharp cheddar excellent white cheddar, though i wouldn't describe it as "sharp." it's definitely more flavorful than most, but without that, i dunno, "edge" of slight harshness that gets called sharpness in cheese. It’s not too hard and not to soft. has a perfect amount of tang without being sharp, aged, or crystalized. it slices easily, melts easily, shreds easily and has so much flavor, i marvel at each bite. i find the flavor to be a cross between gouda and havarti, but better than the sum of its parts. it doesn’t taste like any cheddar i’ve ever.
