Omc King Cobra Drive Offshoreonly Drives and lower units omc king cobra 496 xr or bravo conversion i would like to know what the issues i face for a 351 omc king cobra to a merc 496 with either an xr or bravo drive. will there be major issues with; 1. motor mounts 2. drive mounts 3. drive bolt and cut out patterns 4. Drives and lower units omc king cobra have a buddy looking at a 23' checkmate with a omc king cobra drive with blue thunder gears(?). should he run as fast as he can or consider it for the right price?.

The color was a dark dark green blue hue and a small amount of metal shavings on mid and lower screw. yes it is omc "baby king cobra". 1988 7.5l 460. i've heard fill it from the bottom. fill it from the middle. fill it from the top. and the fill being 85 90w gear oil. it being the lower unit.
