Our Story вђ Food Recovery Network Food recovery network (frn) unites 6,000 college students, food suppliers, farmers, and local businesses across the u.s. in the fight against climate change and hunger by recovering surplus food from across the supply chain and donating it to local nonprofit organizations that feed people experiencing hunger. Our Story вђ Food Recovery Network July 1, 2020 june 30, 2021. food recovery network (frn) aims to feed every person who is experiencing hunger in the united states. even when our world fundamentally shifted due to the covid 19 pandemic, the dedication of our students never faltered. our network of 4,000 students, alumni, dining providers, national partners and local businesses. 5,582 followers, 933 following, 1,628 posts. Currently, ub composts food waste to comply with the new york state food donation and food scraps recycling law, which requires institutions that generate an annual average of two tons or more of wasted food per week to donate or recycle excess edible food. taboni says the food recovery network is overwhelmed with the amount of food it has been.
