They were fun collectathons and never pretended to be anything more. they were bright, cheerful, and spyro was seriously overpowered which just made you feel awesome playing them. but the legend of spyro games had such a compelling story, and the gameplay was so vastly different and in such a satisfying way. Crash’s levels are much more constrained than spyros, obviously, because of the difference in gameplay. however, it’s more than just that, as spyro’s worlds and levels simply feel more.
