The Drift A Novel San Francisco Book Review The retreat is the property of the drift, which stands for the department of research into infection and future transmission. meg, an ex cop, is on her way to the retreat when she awakens in a cable car suspended above snowy mountains with five strangers. Once again, she has captured “the same but different” to masterful, and masterfully manipulated, effect. if her collective works can be called “the house of tudor,” then the drift is the piece de resistance—though her byline is selling point enough. filed under: c. j. tudor horror john valeri post apocalyptic review suspense thriller.

The Summer Guest A Novel San Francisco Book Review Hannah awakens to carnage, all mangled metal and shattered glass. during a hasty escape from a secluded boarding school, her coach careened over a hillside road during one of the year's heaviest snowstorms, trapping her inside with a handful of survivors, a brewing virus, and no way to call for help. if she and the remaining few want to make it. Evacuated from a secluded boarding school during a snowstorm, hannah’s coach careers off the road, trapping her with a handful of survivors. meg is in a cable car stranded high above snowy mountains, with five strangers and no memory of how they got on board. they are heading to a place known only as “the retreat,” but meg realizes they may not all make it there alive. carter is gazing. My thoughts on the drift by c.j. tudor. hannah has awoken to find herself in a real world nightmare; the bus that she was on has crashed and many of the students are dead, or dying. they can’t get out and they’re running out of heat inside the bus. like hannah, meg also awakens to a similar nightmare. she has found herself in a cable car. I am a big fan of author c.j. tudor, who never, ever writes a bad book. her newest one, the drift, is a mind blowing novel about a pandemic sweeping the world, and three groups of people struggling to survive on the way to a special place. there are a lot of twists and turns you will never see coming, and i am usually good at this.

The drift, the brand new novel from cj tudor has all the hallmarks of exactly my kind of read. it’s got that stephen king vibe, that kind of underlying tension that flows through his earlier horror novels like ‘salem’s lot, but rather than being face with vampires, the characters in this truly chilling novel are trying to shield. Review : the first 3 books by this author for me were the burning girls (‘21 3 star story 4 star creepiness), the chalk man ('18 read '20 4 stars) and the other people ('20 5 stars). the opening “chapter” pulled me right in. the book starts alternating 3 locations with quite a few people in each location.
